  • About The Role

  • What will you be doing?
    You will be providing language interpreting services for a variety of organisations. In this role you will be making a difference by supporting those accessing services within the NHS, local authorities, charities and businesses.
    Please note: This role will involved travel within and around the Somerset area.

    • Excellent communication, language and organisation skills
    • Confidence, enthusiasm and a professional attitude
    Our Requirements
    • Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Kurdish Sorani, Polish, Ukrainian, Dari, Farsi, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Tetum, Indonesian, Bengali, Somali, Latvian, or French.
      Additionally, proficiency in non-spoken interpreting in British Sign Language (BSL) is required, with both RSLI (Registered Sign Language Interpreter) and TSLI (Trainee Sign Language Interpreter) accepted.
    • Be eligible for self-employment in the UK
    • Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered to the Update Service - please note we require it to be for the Child and Adult Workforce, with results for both Barred Lists (if you do not already hold an Enhanced DBS, it's no problem - we can assist you in applying for one)
    Please note that this is a self-employed vacancy, and you are responsible for registering with HMRC.
