    Main Purpose of Job

    Word360 is the largest language services company in the Midlands, delivering services in over 450 languages and dialects through a trusted network of linguists across the UK and globally. 

    As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Translation QA Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is committed to delivering outstanding quality and customer service under tight deadlines. 

    Responsibilities and Duties 
    •  Perform QA checks across a variety of translation projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client specifications
    •  Review translated documents for errors in spelling, punctuation, terminology, names, numbers, and formatting
    •  Ensure adherence to client instructions, glossaries and reference materials
    •  Liaise with linguists to clarify queries and ensure accuracy
    •  Ensure timely and secure delivery of completed projects
    •  Understand and uphold data protection standards and confidentiality at all times
    •  Build and maintain strong working relationships with linguists and internal teams
    •  Collaborate with Project Managers to understand project specifications and ensure expectations are met
    •  Provide constructive feedback to translators and Project Managers to improve quality 
    Skills and Attributes Required 
    •  Demonstrate a meticulous, detail-driven approach to reviewing content
    •  Have experience using CAT tools (e.g. Trados, MemoQ, SmartCat)
    •  Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    •  Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    •  Be proactive, eager to learn, and committed to staying up to date with industry trends and technologies
    Essential
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in languages or a related field)
    • Experience in the translation industry, ideally in a linguist or QA role
    •  Exceptional attention to detail, with an ability to spot inconsistencies, omissions, and even minor errors
    •  Strong time management and prioritisation skills
    •  Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    •  Strong understanding of secure data handling practices 
    •  Positive, professional, and flexible attitude
