  • About The Role

  • Main Purpose of Job
    Responsible for supporting core finance operations within a language services environment, including booking signoffs, query handling, call handling, client invoicing, invoice chasing, and supplier invoice processing. Acts as a key point of contact for client and linguist queries and handles finance-related telephone communications. Supports senior finance staff with ad-hoc tasks, including data requests and internal queries, while contributing to process improvements, team guidelines, and rota coverage.
     
    Responsibilities and Duties 
    • Carry out booking signoffs for all clients
    • Respond to linguist and client queries
    • Handle finance-related phone calls
    • Create, check, and send monthly invoices for allocated clients
    • Follow up on outstanding client invoices
    • Review and process supplier invoices
    • Assist in developing team guidelines, rules, and process improvements
    • Participate in rota coverage during business hours as required
    • Provide ad-hoc support to Senior Finance Administrators, the Finance Leader, and Chief Finance Officer, including client data requests and internal queries
    Skills and Attributes Required 
    • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
    • Clear, concise and professional communication style
    • Strong excel skills
    • Use initiative to find answers to queries and draft clear email responses
    • Ability to understand new systems quickly with training
    • Ability to complete high volume of tasks, accurately, under time pressure
    • Confidence when handling calls
    • Ability to handle challenging calls sensitively and professionally
